About NutriEat
An independent UK app, built because the alternatives didn't cover the food we eat.
Why it exists
Most nutrition apps were built around American and British supermarket food. If you cook Indian food at home, logging a meal means picking the least-wrong entry from a list and accepting the numbers are guesswork. That gets old quickly, and most people stop logging within a fortnight.
NutriEat covers five cuisines properly — British, Indian, Mediterranean, Asian and American — so the food you search for resembles the food you cooked.
How we build
NutriEat is independent and self-funded. There are no investors pushing for growth at any cost, no ads, and we don't sell your data. The app is paid for by the people who use it, which is the arrangement we prefer.
We use AI where it genuinely helps — generating recipes from what's in your fridge, answering questions in plain language — and say so plainly rather than dressing it up as something more precise than it is. Calorie and macro figures are estimates good enough to guide everyday decisions.
What we don't do
We don't give medical advice, diagnose anything, or promise results. NutriEat is not a medical device. If you're managing a health condition, your GP or a registered dietitian should be your first call, and NutriEat can support what they tell you rather than replace it.
